Help me!!!

I started learning about programming a couple months ago but although I have read seven or eight books I still can't get the hang of it (I am only 10 so don't make the explanation too hard to understand) thanks any help is appreciated!

what books did you read and what langauge(s) did you try? Was there anything in particular that you couldn't do or any concepts that didn't make sense?

If we get some details we can point you in the right direction!

Try reading the MagPi magazine. The second issue is just released today. It should be suitable for your age group.

There should be some tutorials that help you understand.

For example- Instead of thinking of a Variable as :" a variable is a storage location and an associated symbolic name which contains some known or unknown quantity or information, a value."

Think of a variable as being a Nick name.

Just take your time and explore. Don't try to memorize. Find something that helps you understand.

If you are trying to learn python (or would like to) then I would recommend Learn Python The Hard Way - http://learnpythonthehardway.org/ - don't worry the hard way is easier. By hard way it means it makes you type in lots of stuff. You will make mistakes, and put them right, and hopefully begin to spot why the mistakes happen and common patterns.

Hopefully after a good weekend or so you will be making some progress.

If you get stuck just ask on the Programming forums here (with details of what you need help with) and I'm sure someone will be able to help.
