Rasberry Pi with GNS3

Wed Dec 19, 2012 11:48 pm

Hi, I didn't see anything here about GNS3 on a Raspberry Pi. I assume it would work fine, but wanted to ask the community if anyone has tried it. If so, any nuances to look out for?

I ran GS3 on my modern win7 4 processor multithreaded processor computer a while ago and keeping the processors from running away and my fan running full speed was a constant readjusting process for me. I can't imagine the pi having enough oomph to handle that program, although I never tried it. It is a moot point anyway as I doubt it is ported to work on a ARM device.

Sounds like you needed to set an Idle PC value for the virtual routers, then your CPU usage should have dropped right down. I've ran GNS3 on a Pentium 3 before without any issues.

no idea about running it on the Pi though
