Apple has just released Swift Playgrounds which looks like Karel the Robot with a 3D visualization that runs on an iPad. While probably not enough to justify a school to buying iPads, it is surely useful for those who already did. It requires WiFi to run but I'm not sure how much bandwidth. I don't have an iPad so that's it for me. Any comments comparing it to existing implementations of Karel the Robot for the Pi would be welcome.
Can Swift Playgrounds really teach the Swift programming language?
