Which (cheap) USB-soundcard with SPIF

Sun Jun 24, 2012 5:42 pm

Hi,

Can anybody recommend a USB-soundcard with SPIF?

I am looking for a card that is not more expensive than the Raspberry Pi itself.

In this topic http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewt ... 67#p110267 the Turtle Beach USB Audio Advantage Micro is reported to work.

Any body have any other suggestions?

afaik cm-106 based usb sound cards were reported to work fine, like the one below

you can find them for about 10 dollars on ebay

edit: i've found it here http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewt ... 106#p26547
I bought a USB sound card with spdif in/out as well as the standard analogue connections. It uses the CM106 chipset and works great running Archlinux ARM. The best part is I bought it off Ebay for under $15 including shipping.
