Run header placement on B+

Thu Nov 13, 2014 11:19 am

Hi,

I'm doing a shield to be used in the B+ Pi, and I need to use the RUN header in order to wake up the Pi, but I couldn't find any mechanical drawing that includes the exact position of the header. If I measure it with a caliper, it should end fitting with my PCB, but it would be great to have a mechanical drawing with the position of that header.

Regards,
Jose

You can find mechnical drawings of the B+ at

http://www.raspberrypi.org/documentatio ... /README.md

The run header is shown on the diagram. While no dimensions are shown for it I would expect the diagram to be pretty accurately to scale and so it should be possible to take measurements off it.

My B+ has no RUN header, just the two PTHs of the PWB. Is that what you mean by 'header' or do some B+s come with pins (like the GPIO strip) already inserted?

Just the holes.

You can fit pins if you want them :)
