TSOP IR Receiver & I2S DAC

Thu Oct 16, 2014 1:11 am

Is it possible to use both a TSOP IR receiver on GPIO, and an I2SDAC, also on GPIO with a B+ Raspberry Pi? According to info I have seen, they both use pin 12 (GPIO pin 18)?

Previously the I2S DAC used the P5 header, and there was no conflict. Any suggestions or recommendations gratefully received!

AFAIK you can assign different GPIO number for rpi_lirc module.

Thank you very much! With a combination of this thread: https://www.hifiberry.com/forums/topic/ ... lec-4-0-x/
and these instructions: http://piface.github.io/pifacecad/lirc.html
I have reassigned LIRC GPIO to GPIO 17, and all is well in the valley.
