LCD monitor from notebook

Wed Sep 11, 2013 2:39 pm

Hello, I got Asus U80V but my motherboard burned. All other components are all right. Have anybody here tried to connect LCD monitor from notebook to raspi? I tried to google some tutorial, but I didn't succeed. Although I'm a programmer, concerning to hardware I'm a totall newbie, so I don't know if it's a piece of cake or quite a difficult operation. Thanks for any tips and remarks ;)

I think http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/searc ... words=LVDS is the search that you're after...

I have an old notebook screen attached to the pi. No problems so far.

You need something like that: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Compatible-R-RM ... 3f274560a2

Of course you need to find one for YOUR lcd panel. The serial number should be on its backside, so you have to disassemble your notebook.
