GPIO LED's

is there any pins on the pi that no matter what, will send power down when the device is on? i would like to be able to have some white power indicators for my custom case

As far as I know the 3,3v and 5v pins are always on when the pi is powered up.

If you also would like an LED to tell you that the pi has safely shutdown, then you can use GPIO 14 (Connector PIN # 8) UART TXD. It will turn off after the file systems have been safely unmounted. I have an LED for that and an LED connected to my pi power supply, mounted on the front of my chassis.
