Reset pin on ATMega328

Thu Jan 24, 2013 8:55 pm

Is there any good way to access the PC6/DBG/RESET pin on the ATmega? I can't seem to find it on any of the headers. I want to add a hardware reset to my mega program but don't want to have to solder a wire to the anode of D19 to get to the reset line.

Nevermind, I found it hiding (in plain sight) on the J23 header!

You will find reset on the ICSP header.

You pull pin 1 low.
Which is also available as PC6 or on pin 5 of J29.
J29 is numbered:
1 - 2
3 - 4
5 - 6

Just don't pull pin 2 low as that has 3V3 on it, so you will short circtuit your supply if you do that.
