Adafruit I2S MEMS audio quality

Mon Jun 25, 2018 1:04 am

Adafruit makes a tiny I2S microphone for the Raspberry Pi, but I can't find any reviews on it. I want to know about the audio quality. Can this be used to record speech from 10 feet away without too much system noise? If anybody owns one, could you share a sample recording please?

I have ICS43432 microphones which have the same SNR as Adafruit's SPH0645LM4H of 65dB. This is a recording of normal voice from 10 feet away and should be in the same ballpark: https://soundcloud.com/user-837898227/10feet

Thanks! I think that's acceptable for the price!
