Ilitek Multi-Touch screen setup

Fri Feb 16, 2018 4:44 am

I am all new to this. I have a 27" LCD with what is identified as Ilitek Multi-touch screen.

Raspberry Pi 4.14.18-v7+

My system will identify the touch screen but the touch points are not right - I have no idea how to get it configured correctly. On top of that I need to rotate the display and the touch screen 90 degrees so they function correctly in portrait mode.

in the /boot/config.txt file - the command
display_rotate=1 90 degrees

Works! The display is rotated. However the command lcd_rotate=1 does not seem to do anything for the touch screen.

I really need to get this figured out as this is needed for a trade show display next week.

Anyone here with any suggestions?

I found a solution.

Note that Ilitek touchscreen detects as two input device, so you must set "MatchIsTouchscreen" option.
This will rotate touchscreen to 90 degrees.

Code: Select all

/usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/90-rotate-touch.conf

Section "InputClass"
Identifier "ILITEK ILITEK-TP"
MatchProduct "ILITEK ILITEK-TP"
MatchIsTouchscreen "on"
Option "TransformationMatrix" "0 1 0 -1 0 1 0 0 1"
EndSection

For a Dell 2314T in portrait mode use the following.

Edit /boot/config.txt:

Code: Select all

sudo nano /boot/config.txt
Add to the end:

Code: Select all

display_rotate=1
Goto: /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/

Code: Select all

cd /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/
Type:

Code: Select all

sudo Touch ./98-rotate-touch.conf
Then:

Code: Select all

sudo nano ./98-rotate-touch.conf
Copy and paste:

Code: Select all

Section "InputClass"
Identifier "Advanced Silicon S.A CoolTouch(TM) System"
MatchProduct "Advanced Silicon S.A CoolTouch(TM) System"
Option "TransformationMatrix" "0 1 0 -1 0 1 0 0 1"
EndSection
Save.

Reboot.
