Spare holes on PCB

Tue Oct 16, 2012 6:49 pm

There is a grid of 12 x 7 holes on the right side of the board that do not look to be connected to anything. Is there a reason for these? Not found it mentioned in the documentation.
My thoughts are its a small development area for users to build extra circuits on, but I'd like that to be certified.
Thanks

Yes, that is right.
If you happen to find a picture of the first revision you see that area full of components.
With the IC I had space and instead of leaving it empty or a big re-design of the board
I decided to put some more holes in it!
