I am looking for a 4x3 monitor for the raspberry pi 3 model b. do non-crt monitors this size exist?

So, the closest you can get is by using 4.3in or 5in display in 16:9 aspect ratio.

If you're talking about 4:3 aspect ratio at that size you may want to look for 5.7in displays.
