24-bit VGA Interface

Thu Dec 08, 2016 9:52 pm

I have just launched a 24-bit VGA interface for 40-pin equipped RPi boards, supported by the dpi24 overlay:

This board utilises the CM2009 VGA companion for ESD protection and buffering of H- and V-Sync signals, ensuring GPIOs are not over-driven. A simple ladder-type DAC is used and testing has shown a good resistance to interference from Bluetooth and WiFi on the RPi 3.

This looks very interesting and I'd love to get hold of one.

However, note that the release is the board only (for about 4 pounds).
It does not come with the needed components (or, obviously, assembled and ready-to-run).

Still, looks very interesting...

Update on this project - the board passed the relevant tests so can now pre-ordered as a finished product.
