Is SD card dead?

Sat Aug 18, 2012 10:34 am

Hi,

I tried Arch, OpenELEC and XBian by dd bs=1M if=*.img of=/dev/mmcblk0 and then I tried Raspbian, but it (Raspian) doesn't works.
So I did dd bs=1M if=/dev/zero of=/dev/mmcblk0 and tried to make new partition table by gparted, but it doesn't work.

It's going to new SD card? :D

Thank you

A very simple way to test it, format it fat32 if that works, get DexBasic zip from here: http://www.dex-os.com/DexBasic/DexBasic.htm
In the zip you will find a folder called boot, add the files in that folder (not the folder, just the files) to to the sd card, plus any of the kernel.img files from the tut folders.
And see if that works.
Batteries not included, Some assembly required.

Maybe it is a subtle request for an SD card interface on the next version of the Gertboard :-)
