Please provide us details - schematics with listed parts, description of the software you installed/wrote.

Best wishes, Ivan Zilic.
Running out of GPIO pins and/or need to read analog values?

hi,

l am using ir receiver “TSOP1238“ and direct connected the thee pins to the gpio in pi . the device driver is lirc.

i type the following command to test the ir receiver :
sudo mode2 -d /dev/lirc0

it show a lot of signal/pulse received when i turn on the tv
when i turn off the tv, only one signal/pulse show on screen when i press a button on remote control

thanks

HI,

This receiver is 5V device. If you supply it:
- with 3.3V, it's out of spec.
- with 5V, then it's not best idea to connect its output directly to GPIO...
