Best all round IO library for C

Wed Aug 07, 2013 7:04 pm

I was wondering what's the best all round GPIO library for C.
The basic idea is writing one "background" handler to handle a 128x64 display. with some general information about te pi, and some various program inputs.
It's a ST7920 display, not the most easy job to interface, but that's part of the fun.
I want to control this display over SPI, or maybe bit-banging.

I'm using the BCM library, I think this one has the most complete SPI-support, but lacks soms GPIO support compared to WiringPi,...
So what's your opinion what's the best library?
