i2c pulse stretch

Sat Jun 01, 2013 6:18 pm

Does anyone know if any work is being done on the i2c drivers to implement pulse stretching to handle slower devices, as I have a stack of devices which fail to work with Raspberry PI but which work fine with arduino. Having done some googling it appears that it is because the current drivers wont allow for slower devices by pulse stretching.

Unfortunately, AFAIK it's not driver issue but hardware issue. As such, it may (but doesn't have to, maybe there is some workaround possible) be not fixable.
