ser2net tracefile

Thu Apr 11, 2013 1:33 pm

Hi all,

I'm using ser2net to read in a serial stream and pump it out over TCP. Working well.

However, I want to include functionality to save the log to the sd card, which according to the ser2net info is just a line of code. However, when I use this it crashes when connecting to the port, saves no file and does not connect.

Any ideas?

Si

This works fine, but no log (tracefile)

Code: Select all

BANNER:banner:\r\nraspPilot on port \p device \d [\s] \r\n\r\n
2000:telnet:600:/dev/ttyAMA0:115200 NONE 8DATABITS -RTSCTS NOBREAK banner
2001:raw:600:/dev/ttyAMA0:115200 NONE 8DATABITS -RTSCTS NOBREAK banner
This is having none of it:

Code: Select all

BANNER:banner:\r\nraspPilot on port \p device \d [\s] \r\n\r\n
TRACEFILE:tb1:/tmp/ser2netLogTelnet
TRACEFILE:tb1:/home/pi/ser2netLogRaw.log
2000:telnet:600:/dev/ttyAMA0:115200 NONE 8DATABITS -RTSCTS NOBREAK tb=tb1 banner
2001:raw:600:/dev/ttyAMA0:115200 NONE 8DATABITS -RTSCTS NOBREAK tw=tw1 banner

try to open an issue on the ser2net website. I reported a bug in ser2net (did not work if ipv6 module was not loaded) that was fixed a day after.

cheers

I have put it up on their site at the link below if anyone else is interested.
