temperature data help

Fri May 24, 2019 12:15 pm

Hi,
I'm working on a project where there is a need for me to read temperature data on a rPi, from a Temperature controller. The specifications of the same are in the link below:
http://www.libratherm.com/manufacturers ... cator.html

I want to be able to programatically read the temperature data from this device from my rPi, so if anyone can give me clues as to how to do this, it would be great.

Welcome to the forum.

You’ve linked to a genetic set of indicators but not said which one you are using

A few ways have been discussed here before:

1) Take an output from the indicator (some have an output port you can link into)
2) Replace the sensor and indicator with the Pi and a screen connected back to a suitable sensor
3) Drive the indicator from the Pi but fit the sensor to the Pi
4) Point a camera at the indicator and run optical character recognition software
5) Hook into the indicator display and see if you can identify the segments lit up

and I am sure I will have missed some

Do you have details of what the sensor is, his it links and what the indicator can do?
Need Pi spray - these things are breeding in my house...
