Raspberry PI, OpenWRT and GIPO

Is there any example code for interfacing with the GPIO in the OpenWRT environment.
I've looked/searched with these key words, but there doesn't seem to be much activity here for the PI and OpenWRT.
In the running system I see a number of GPIO devices in the '/sys' tree, but they have such additions as "pwm1_gpio'" or the like. I have run across
some libraries, but they seem to be directed to the Raspian distribution.
Any reference would be appreciated.
