i'm trying to connect the BME280 (temp+hum+press) sensor to raspberry Pi3B with I2C
Here is my connections https://github.com/Ricardosgeral/relier ... relier.png
I've connected VCC to 5V (specs say 1.8 to 5V) but i know most of people use the 3.3V. But I thought that should work as well...
The problem is that it does not work. I don't see the address when I do sudo i2cdetect -y 1. But I can see the address for the other I2C device (ADS1115).
Another thing. The sensor heats up to 50 degrees....That should not happen right?
If I connect to 3.3v i can't detect it as well and the sensor becomes also very hot (I've measured 40 degrees with multi-meter)
Any ideas? Is the sensor faulty? I'm i doing anything very wrong?
Anyone experienced this?
