Tue Jan 23, 2018 2:03 am

Hi, Im trying to use a monochrome 128x64 OLED display with my raspberry pi 3 and I am having some issues. l followed this https://learn.adafruit.com/ssd1306-oled ... lack/usage tutorial but when I try to run

Code: Select all

sudo python shapes.py
I get this error:

Code: Select all

File "build/bdist.linux-armv7l/egg/Adafruit_GPIO/SPI.py", linne 42, in __init__ IOError: [Error 2] No such file or directory
The linux-armv7l directory appears to be empty.

Thanks for any help in advance, Alex

Did you enable SPI in raspi-config and change to the correct disp type in shapes.py?

Hi,

I have the same problem, I activated SPI in config and the code uses the correct display but when I run the code, nothing happens. I followed the same instructions at Adafruit but the display shows nothing. Tested it also on my arduino, no issues there, so the display itself is working.

Thanks for any help,
AMB
