Serial Pin & Python

Fri Dec 01, 2017 1:42 pm

Hi,

i'm trying to connect a Flight Controller, using Mavling or LTM (communication protocol) to my Raspberry.
I have to connect to pin RX/TX (14/15) to send data to raspberry and play with it in Python.

But when i try to open the serial port, i always get this message
TypeError: 'Serial' object is not callable

Here is my code

Code: Select all

import serial
import time

ser = serial.Serial('/dev/ttyAMA0',57600,timeout=None)
time.sleep(0.3)
byte_read = tel_sock()
print (byte_read)
Don't know what to do about that

Thanks

Which model of Raspberrypi are you using?
Which Operating System are you running on this Pi?
What have you done (if anything) to configure your Pi for Serial Port operations?

Thanks,
Dave.
