Hi, I'm trying to get the Wireless Things (formerly Cicesco) Slice of Radio working on my Model B pi using node red.
I have node red working with other GPIO lines turning on LEDs buzzers etc and want to talk to a wireless temperature sensor also by Wireless things.
Unfortunately since purchase their site seems to be down and I can only find older posts.
Firstly it seems that to talk to it I use the GPIO pins also used to output console messages at boot.
So I've removed references to /boot/command.txt ttyAMA0
However this seems to have changed and there are gui options to disable the serial port. However if I do this node red fires up errors when trying to use GPIO lines. So this doesn't seem to be correct, or at least not the full picture...
So does anyone know if we still need to disable console output and how to do it such that node red can still load GPIO libraries?
The Slice of Radio board has the heartbeat light flashing but I see no tx/rxd.
I've followed a cam jam post using these sensors setting a simple serial Input node to 9600 with a debug message but I never see debug come in so I assume either the serial port is not setup correctly and has console messages routed to it or I somehow need to configure the remote sensors. The cam jam post implies every 30 seconds or so the sensors will send a message that is received on the serial port and I expect to see that as debug.
Alas I have no documentation so if anybody has a copy of the Cicesco Slice of Radio documentation I would appreciate it as all of their info is down at present. It doesn't look too hopeful as many of their items are unavailable from stockists so hope they're still active as it looks just what I wanted for remote temperature and humidity measurements.
