Could the drivers be taken from the Android port?

Excuse my naivety. It would be nice to have this as a possibility.
TC358870XBG is an HDMI-to-MIPI bridge --> should work (sorry, did not checked the spec) but requires additional hardware. Current restrictions apply to GPU firmware only (that's why DSI can be used only for official foundation display). Having this gone would allow us to use DPI1 (4-lane MIPI interface) with other displays, without needing a bridge chip.

Is there such a restriction for development boards with MIPI-DSI ?
I'm going to get inforce 6601 https://www.inforcecomputing.com/produc ... =learnmore

and I want to use it in as a car Infotainment with Nexus 2013 (ME571K) display.

I know, I'm late.
Can't send PM because I'm new. Do you still have one board?

Greatz.

There's no PM anymore on Raspberry forum! So, no need to worry!
Yes, I still have some unpopulated boards available. Let me know your e-mail address and we can talk about details.

I'm sorry, but all PCB's (LVDS add-on) are gone! What I still have is the small adapter for use with the original FPC.

Nevermind, thank you!
I'll figure out if i can reproduce the board from your schematics.

Anyway thank you for the response and for the awesome work!

sorry to say, but this wont help you! The little board is only a- let me say - mechanical adapter and not a LVDS board. It simply converts the original display interface (FPC) connector to a bigger one. It's not even needed if you put the AXT530124 connector on your LVDS board

Hello aBUGSworstnightmare,

You done a great work here. I wander if you still have some of those adapter ? I'm interested to buy one. If not, have you thought to open source and share your work with community ? Thank you in advance.

Best regards,
Isab

hi Isab

The Nexus display adapter board is open source.
Sorry to say, but I will not open-source the LVDS4PI. But - if you read this forum carfully you will figure out it's not rocket sience.

Some of the Nexus adapter PCB - the small red one - are still there. I need to check where I put my own LVDS4PI with Yo=..R3,R2 mapping (that's what the display needs). Now that I have the LVDS4CM3L i will no longer need the PCB anyhow.
Let me have your e-mail and I will contact you if I still have it.

I know I'm really late to this party, but I would love to use my nexus with a pi. would like to purchase the boards/cables if still available.

hi, I'm sorry to say, but all spare LVDS4PI boards suitable for Nexus 7 connection (JEIDA data mapping) are gone!

As LVDS4PI had several limitations (i.e. comsumes all 40 GPIO) my current approach is based on the RPI Compute module - I named the baseboard LVDS4CM3L.
