piglow

Thu Oct 15, 2015 1:24 pm

Hello,

I try to use piglow on my Pi. I already have the official screen for this pi, using the first GPIO jumpers to power the display.

Can I plugin the piglow using the others GPIO pins or do I have to plug it on the first GPIO pins I use currently for powering the official screen ?

Is it compulsory to plug the piglow that way :

or can I use the other GPIO pins ? so I can power both the screen and the piglow...at the same time.

Thanks,

You have to connect the PiGlow to the pins as shown. You do not have to power the Pi from the screen by the jumper plugs, you could use the USB output to power the Pi by the microUSB power input instead.

Power the display from your power supply and the Pi from the display.
