Cap1188 not detected on the pi4

Hi I am trying to connect a cap1188 breakout (https://learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-cap ... t?view=all) to a pi4

I wired like here:

I have i2c installed and activated

Code: Select all

 lsmod | grep i2c_
returns

Code: Select all

i2c_bcm2835            16384  0
i2c_dev                20480  0
but still when I run

Code: Select all

sudo i2cdetect -y 1
I get all empty slots

You haven't connected AD to 3V3.

it says
Wire connecting AD to 3V -> I2C address 0x28
No resistor or wire attached to AD -> I2C address 0x29

so I believe it should work both ways...
still I tried the AD->3V but nothing seems to change :(

A clear photo showing the connections may be useful.

Thank you all so much, the connections as in the photo above are just fine...it turned out to be a soldering problem. Now the device works great. My bad.
