Play on Pi or PC?? if the latter you're going to need ffmpeg to put the h264 data into an appropriate container file like .mp4

If you give it the extension .h264, then VLC should play it directly.
Do remember that an H264 elementary stream (that's what you've got) has no timestamps, so if you're trying to record at anything other than 30fps, it will play back at the wrong speed by default.

i'm playing this on my pi.

vlc won't play them at all. i don't know if i'm missing something or not.

i did try omxplayer, and that worked ok.

ffmpeg is already installed, i'll have to read its man pages and figure it out.

thanks!
