Re: Firmware upgrade stops cam?

Sun Oct 26, 2014 4:38 pm

Resolved the issue by downgrading to firmware #600 by using:

Code: Select all

rpi-update b62ec22eac11772e3a013a0faedd6d790da23c66
Silly updates. My advice:
  • Busy man, just want to play around a bit?
    • If it ain't broke, don't update!
  • Got oceans of free time?
    • Update weekly, report all bugs, find the problems, commit fixes.

There you have it. #676 upwards is evil.

Hi,

I'm on "Linux raspberrypi 3.12.31+ #718 PREEMPT Sat Oct 25 16:09:41 BST 2014" with a 'B and it's working fine, raspstill has taken 3000 images and counting for a time lapse of the tide coming in and out....

Pi is working hard as well, over clocked and stitching together another time lapse.....

My 2p worth :)

It was resolved on github (link provided in previous message).
The cma settings caused the GPU to fail from firmware #676 and up. All I had to do was remove the settings from /boot/config.txt.

Did anyone make a motion detected image or video capturer yet based on piCamera's motion functions?
