RaspiCam image control options

Wed Sep 11, 2013 10:05 am

I was just wondering if there was anyone who has a definitive list of what image parameters work as they are intended in the RaspiCam apps, I have seen several issues* on the repo about parameters (particularly exposure and metering) which simply don't work or don't do what they are supposed to.
I have also experienced this myself as I have a case where exposure control is essential.

Thanks,
Dan

There appears to be a regression on exposure - really not sure how that happened. Nothing I've changed should have affected that, and I haven't had time to investigate as yet.

As for the rest of the parameters, when I wrote the code, I just allowed (almost) every parameter available to the MMAL subsystem to be exposed. But some of those are not implemented for this particular camera. There isn't really a definitive list of those though! I know some effects don;'t work quite right for example.
