Mine was the first post mentioning the "squashed box" and was, like Mortimer's, in a grey plastic posting bag that had no padding.
I've had an account with CPC since 1994 and I must admit their packing is somewhat variable!
I'll send order details too.

Re: Any in UK get there's from CPC ?
I ordered on Tuesday from CPC and it arrived this morning and came well-packaged in a large box with lots of padding
Only issue is that I ordered 2 (and ordered from CPC as it let you add more than 1 to the basket) but it seems that "their system only allows one item through" despite it allowing you to checkout with more than 1.
Apparently they're going to update their website to make the "1 per order" clearer but then said I could order another one if I wanted to any way, presumably on back-order.
Edit: Although the box says CPC on it, I actually ordered via Farnell.

Got it!
It was in a grey bag, (email sent), but survived the experience without even a dent in the box.

Do you still want an e-mail reference ? Mine arrived as others, grey self seal bag and a very squashed box. Not had a chance to test it yet, hoping to do that tomorrow.

No, thats OK thanks. We've more than enough examples now and the warehouse has taken action already to stop it happening in the future

However, if you do come across a problem when you come to test then please let us know and we'll do what we can to resolve it for you!

Re: Any in UK get there's from CPC ?
In my opinion the packaging that mine arrived in would have fine, if the anti-static bag the camera was in had been of the bubble -wrap type.

In any event mine arrived safely and appears to work. Now all we need are Raspberry Pi cases that including a mounting for the camera.

Re: Any in UK get there's from CPC ?
There was a little mention of bubble wrap inside the boxes this morning so that might be the way forward (as well as a jiffy bag) - But that was just a little mention so please don't take it as confirmation of that or anythingMortimer wrote:In my opinion the packaging that mine arrived in would have fine, if the anti-static bag the camera was in had been of the bubble -wrap type.

Glad your camera still works though, thats the main thing - No doubt there will be quite a few people beavering away on cases with a camera mount as we type so would imagine we'll be seeing them soon enough

Yes I've seen that, but I think it falls short by not encasing the camera module.fbutler wrote:This Kickstarter project might be of interest:Mortimer wrote:Now all we need are Raspberry Pi cases that including a mounting for the camera.
