There has been various threads about raspistill and the hq camera.
What is the latest status, can it do the 200 second exposure, is there any documentation for it, how do we get the latest version ?
Thanks

Re: What's the latest with raspistill ?
It can if you clone userland and build it yourself, see instructions here:

You did not ask, but 239s long exposures are available for raspiraw as well on my fork:

Three consecutive raspiraw 237s exposures (always 1 led lit for 4s, from top to bottom, left to right => loops after 256s):

Re: What's the latest with raspistill ?
It even works with the standard available versioon (make sure you do a sudo rpi-update) when you use the options:
-ag [1 - 16] --burst -st -exposure off -ss [value in micro-seconds]
-ag [1 - 16] --burst -st -exposure off -ss [value in micro-seconds]
Re: What's the latest with raspistill ?
Cheers, is sudo rpi-update recommended these days ?

Only if you really need the bleeding edge.
Pi4 firmware in apt was bumped on 1st June anyway, so has most stuff anyway. Pi0-3 is back on an April release, so currently you do have to use rpi-update to get all the HQ camera fixes
