Flexible camera cable for pi Zero?

Tue Mar 03, 2020 9:39 pm

Are there any cameras out there for the Pi Zero that are short and flexible? I need to be able to bend the camera around when it is plugged in to fit it in the right spot and it would be really great to have the cable short as well. I’m working on placing the zero plus a camera in a really tight space.

I see that this product is really common: https://www.sainsmart.com/products/mini ... rrency=USD

The problem with that one is that it’s not flexible and the area I plan to put the pi on with the camera doesn’t have that much width. There’s also variations of that camera that come with detachable cables but those aren’t really flexible and are usually too long.

Are there any camera that could work for my case?

Unfortunately it doesn't look like those are flexible either. They're all the same cable. Maybe the more appropriate term would be a wire or round cable. Perhaps something like the one shown here, https://www.instructables.com/id/Round-IDE-Cables/ though that one is mostly a mess held by tape.

I also found this https://pi-cables.com/products/copy-of- ... 6121101187 but it doesn't look like the guy is selling those at the moment.
