So my Raspberry Pi NoIR Camera V2 has been used as a security camera since April 20, 2019, but no for some reason, I get no picture when I try to connect to the camera using the MotionEye software. It was working fine before... I tried to update the MotionEye software, but that didn't help. I also tried disconnecting the connector from the Raspberry Pi, but that didn't work either!

Raspistill is the standard camera app in Raspbian. Google will find lots of stuff on it. It will be easier to debug the problem using that.

What is output of this command?

Code: Select all

vcgencmd get_camera

You can run one of these commands to get an endless camera preview on connected monitor/display:

Code: Select all

raspistill -t 0
raspivid -t 0

Hi
I am having the same issues. I had 3 cameras on my network that were all working. I dont know exactly when they stopped but ok a few months ago.
Pi1, pi2 and pi3 all with motioneyeOS. 2 wifi network and 1 wired.
I have reloaded the OS from the github on the latest downloads (for the pi3 B+) and also went back to orginal downloads on the other ones. I have tested one of the cameras direct on another pi using raspian and it was fine.
I can connect to them on my network and get to the setting but i just get grey pictures.
is there something wrong with motioneye?

Yea no sure. I just ordered a new camera for my Pi3. Or maybe the ribbon cable was broken..
