I've seen that the UCAM III uses serial comms so would be ideal (I don't need huge resolution or speed)
I've also seen that the standard Pi camera module has has a ribbon cable. Presumably the length of that ribbon cable is fixed, and probably would not like to be twisted and stretched many times...?
So, is there an interface for the UCAM ||| on the Raspberry Pi? Or some other solutions?
I did crazy things with camera flex cables without any issues. Here I did use it to connect Pi Zero on top of a cheap RC airplane with Raspberry v1 camera mounted on bottom. As you can see the cable is bended several times, and the airplane has seen many hard landings. I have not experienced any issue with that flex cable. I only killed two flex cables inhouse by a drone going wild, the fast rotating propellers are like knifes and can cut camera flex cables easily.
