How to make pi camera display stays in front of other windows

Tue Apr 02, 2019 8:47 pm

Hi,
Is it possible to make the pi camera display stays in front of the other files or applications? I have a user interface application which was created with python Tkinter and it covers all the screen. When i start the pi camera I want the camera display window to stay in front of the other application. Even if I click on another window, the camera should stay at the front and not goes behind other windows.

Your help will be much appreciated
Thank you

If you "start the camera" using raspivid or similar, you can try to download and compile it from sources, and change the PREVIEW_LAYER in RaspiPreview.h to something higher than 2.

Return to “Camera board”
