keyboard problem

Mon Oct 29, 2012 2:58 pm

While setting up tests on my Gertboard which is connected to my Pi I have started having a problem with my keyboard. Single key strokes turn into very rapid repeat characters. This happens at random. I swapped the keyboard for another I have with the same result so the problem is in the circuits or software.
Has anyone else experienced this?

Probably drawing to much power from your Raspberry Pi for your PSU to handle.

I changed the Pi psu to a 1 amp one instead of 700mA and the problem looks fixed. Thanks for your input

Sorry, the 1A supply was a temporary fix. The problem reappeared. My latest cure, which seems to be working well, is to plug the keyboard USB connector into a Pi USB port instead of my multi port adapter.
