It's also conductive foam it's lying on - best find the shipping note and pop that under the Pi

I'll just throw it out there that the Farnell box fit much better :)

no its not - mine came in the flimsey farnell box - I like this solution and would have done the same if I had ordered from RS.

...actually I cut a big hole so it's sitting on a ledge.

A few pins may still be on the foam... it may be anti-static, but it isn't very conductive!

Just for info, moderately extended user testing today with a thermocouple inside (calibrated against several room thermometers and a boiling kettle) shows a fairly steady 50 °C after several hours of operation, although that's not with the GPU working (if I understand right the X-Server doesn't do hardware acceleration yet).

Ambient 21 °C which was also the starting temperature after sitting in the box overnight.
