Pi in Space!!!

Sat Jun 30, 2012 12:28 am

I recently saw a project called Kicksat, in which donaters get their own mini chip sized satellite launched into space (check it out, more funding equals better components), and it immediatly made me think of pi.

Though I'm surely not the only one who's dreamed of launching my raspberry pi into space, (seriously, I'm not alone... am I?), and I`m definately not the only person without the budget to do it, I think it would be a great project for any group or individual. Think of how versatile a pi is and more importantly, how cheap it is.

Though I certainly wont be creating a pi-sat anytime soon, I though it would be fun to create a discussion and see if anyone else is interested in the topic. If you have any ideas please post them here. Maybe someday in the future, we`ll all have a slice of the pi in space...you got that right...?

I think it would just be cool to give one to NASA to take with them to the Space Station.
