Advice with Pi In The Sky

Sat Nov 15, 2014 5:57 pm

I am trying to do Dave Akerman's project Pi in the Sky (http://www.pi-in-the-sky.com/) for an eighth grade school project. Basically, he sent a raspi up into near space using a weather balloon and took pictures looking downwards. I saw that the board he was selling (http://ava.upuaut.net/store/index.php?r ... uct_id=104) was out of stock, and I was wondering if anyone has any advice for making one. I have access to basic tools such as soldering irons, so that is not a problem. I am also wondering about the purchasing a weather balloon and helium and how much that will cost. Any advice at all would be appreciated.

Thank you for your time,
Daniel F

Just wondering if you ever got your project off the ground (boom, boom!)? I'm starting this project myself and was hoping to get some help with the wiring of the project.
