Taking inspiration from the berg printer and hello printer, I want to produce the following:

A pi running a daily scheduled cron(?) job to produce the following:

National rail enquiries train service updates for my journey to work
Weather for the day - symbols or text
random flickr picture?
bbc news headlines?
other good stuff

either printed to standard laser printer, thermal receipt printer, set to collect the data and print early each morning, how would be the best way to go about this? If anyone has used a pi for something similar be great to see it,

RSS is your friend.
http://feeds.bbci.co.uk/news/rss.xml
http://open.live.bbc.co.uk/weather/feed ... recast.rss (You'll need to change it to your location)

For train times
http://ojp.nationalrail.co.uk/service/l ... BSK/WAT/To (parse the HTML that's returned)

Thanks for your reply, yes RSS looks like a great solution to get the content.
