Adafruit's Raspberry Pi Case

They certainly ship to France. I order from them about once a month - one of my favourite suppliers.

I recently went to purchase a case for the raspberry pi that resembled this but i was stopped in my tracks as i came across a much nicer case for the PC called the raspberry rock and it is a very nice case indeed and i would recommend it to everyone very cheap and very good quality build no china rubbish. shame theres no secure way to hold the Pi in as Velcro is rubbish my opinion i know but come on theres better ways,

He is looking at his post history. I think the Adafruit is the nicest I've seen so far but I'm holding out for a VESA mounted case. Raspberry rock is barely even a case tbh, nowhere near as good as Adafruit's anyway.

How is the Adafruit case held together?
I don't like those cases that just use friction to hold them together, as either they will come apart when you don't want them or they will be hard to assemble/ disassemble, a balance between too tight / too loose must be very difficult to achieve and different people will want that point at different levels!
I also worry that they will get looser with time.
n.b. I am looking at making cases myself and do realise compromises need to be made.

I just received my Adafruit case and it broke after the first assembly and reassembly, while trying to change my wiring access configuration. It uses bendable tangs that slip into slots in order to hold it together. Unfortunately It is made of very brittle plastic and the instructions point to warnings about being very careful while putting it together or taking it apart....which I did. I am now out $14.95 for something that cost a few cents to manufacture. The idea was good anyway because it allows the installation of a GPIO cable and the top is removable to allow for cooling as well as direct access to the GPIO pins using individual wires which is exactly what I needed. If I had access to all my tools I would build a case, but that is not an option at this point.

Not terribly impressed, either. It looks neat but the plastic is indeed extremely brittle and it broke during initial assembly in the corner above the logo (on sd-card side) and during reassembly one of the hooks gave way. Mindful of the warnings in the wiki I used very little force but it didn't help. I would NOT recommed it, I'll now have to use superglue to hold it together which kind of defeats the whole purpose of such a case.

I've got my Pi in one of those cases. I was bored when I first got it and took it apart multiple times. It's held up well so far and the price was right.
