I agree but I guess they should be cheap(ish) like the device itself or its a bit pointless ..... but having said that one side of me would love to see a polished aluminium case

Can only agree with the comments on the Pang 'case'. Mine came next working day - excellent service. Just love the see-through look! After all, the Rpi's a thing of beauty, so why put in a pink/blue/black/white/etc plastic surround even if it is shaped like the pi logo?

Only slight negative is that if you are using the composite video, the plug overlaps the breadboard and is a bit of a tight fit. But I'm planning to switch to HDMI soon.

And perhaps some brief assembly instructions would be good or a link to a video such as posted here? I know it's not difficult but I'd not seen pillars used as edge supports, so had a 'hmmm' moment about those slots before the penny dropped.

Like all good accessories for the pi, they have sold out last time I looked!

And now for the I/O chip that came with the starter kit: and I2C comms. It's a steep learning curve is this little beasty. Dip yer toe; wet yer ankle; and whoops, now I'm out of my depth!

I also got one of these and am happy. Figured the use of the spacers to hold the Pi is simpler and more elegant than the others out there (apart from the guy who wont say how he holds the Pi!!)

Excellent customer service as well - didn't get rubber feet in first envelope, 1 email and they were here next day.

An obvious word of warning - no cutout for GPIO. As I power my Pi via GPIO had to mod my 3-pin connector which worked fine - if you have anything on the GPIO make sure it is low profile!

I got the one with the full size breadboard base-plate. I quite like it.
