Bugblat PIF FPGA board

Thu Oct 10, 2013 1:45 pm

Has anyone seen this yet?

http://www.bugblat.com/products/pif/

Looks like an excellent step up from the Guzunty CPLD board, and is reasonably priced...although shipping is a bit of a drag to the UK.

Anyone tried one yet??? It's on my Christmas list!

I understand, what you can do with it, but what is is good for? What is a practical application for it?

Interesting.
Bugsplat sell a logic analyser. You could do something like that with this. Hook it to some ADCs and make a storage 'scope.
Implement some truly hard-realtime motion control.
Audio effects. Interfaces (drive big LED array with precise clocks and buffered data).
