The batteries are most of the weight, but since each port requires 2 Amps to launch (for a total 8 port simultaneous launch of 16 Amps), there is no way of getting away from at least one fairly hefty battery for a nights worth of launches.

Well, it is getting close to that time of year again and the itch is back. I haven't turned my pis on in almost a year, so I better start checking them out and doing some software updates. I am thinking of switching from Wheezy stable to Jessie testing, as I suspect it has stabilized a bit by now. Anyone running off of the Jessie repository? I would like the pis to have similar versions of software as my desktops that run Linux Mint Debian (LMDE), which distributes quality controlled update pack releases off of the Debian testing repository.

What do you use to ignite the fireworks ?
I tinker around with Raspberry Pis daily and make sure that people can easily access theirs remotely.
