Hello new user here with some ideas

I was wondering if it would be possible to use a LCD digital frame as a portable monitor for the RasPI?  i have disassembled the frame and found that the IC is Novatek NT88952APFG.  Do you think it would be possible or am I looking at an impossible project?

The IC has little to no value in the application you are looking in to, it's the LCD panel that is important.

In any case, you will need a driver board to translate the HDMI signal to whatever interface the LCD panel uses. These boards are not really feasible DIY projects though.

There should be something on the wiki about this and several posts in the forum, but to sum it up: it's really hard, and in the end probably not cost efficient.
