Hooking up a OLD Laptop screen to the raspberry pi

Mon Jul 29, 2013 6:18 pm

So I have a old HP Omnibook 2100 from 1998, and I want to use its screen to hook up to the pi so it can get a display, and if possible maybe even hook up its keyboard and trackpad. Basically I'm aiming at making the Pi portable using the brick of a laptop, if I can. It'll be a pretty hard project, and any help would be useful.

the touchpad only requires 4 soldering points and it ps/2 and with and adapter makes it usb
the keyboard is diferent.....i have a friend that works @ HP tech and i'm gonna
ask him for the service manuals of that model....maybe i can work something out
