Hi all,
Knoppix 5.1 starts also,
now I am waiting:-):-),
if it comes to desktop. This means, that Qemu can translate ARM1176 code to I386 (x86) instructions.
Nice to hear from you, I will do a LOT ^^ of tests,
Dietmar

PS: Prozessorspeed is specific from Knoppix
(on double Qemu 0.15.50) at 0 MHZ ^^ .

Hey Dietmar, here's how to get pictures in your posts:
1- go to the page with the picture
2- right-click > copy Image adress (that's in Opera, must be similar in most browsers ?)
3- [ IMG ](paste img adress here without parentheses)[ /IMG ]
(get rid of the inner <spaces> of [ ] tags. I can't believe Mingle still processes tags in

Code: Select all

 blocks...

I'm too lazy to check the premade links they give you. I did understand than Vorschau means Thumbnails... I love how German in a very logical language, I can still work things out 25 yrs later :-)

link 8 works, then you put pseudo tags before and after: (img)...link8...(/img), except with [ and ] instead of ( and ), and no replace ...link8... with the actual link8. You can edit your post to see the source code of my modifications to your posts.

Re: Simulator/Emulator for Raspberry Pi?

Hi all,
I compiled very last version qemu 0.15.50 new for windows.
What a crazy fight with errors...
At last I get qemu-system-arm.exe
qemu-img.exe
qemu-io.exe
SDL.dll
zlib1.dll
and the dll's from glib-2.0 but this qemu-system-arm.exe gives only black screen,
no errormessage, nothing.
Crazy, because I solved ALL compiler errors for MinGW.
Now, I have really no idea what can be wrong for this qemu 0.15.50 version for Windows,
nice to hear from you Dietmar

EDIT: The new compiled qemu-img.exe and qemu-io.exe work.
This means, that the error with qemu-system-arm.exe seems not to happen during compiling :-).

Try redirecting errors to files (this might be done by default). Check the folder from where you ran it for stdio.err or stdio.out or something like that.

Hi ShiftPlusO-ne,
my problem is now, that it compiles without any errors :-). I think, very small thing is wrong.
I used the same settings for qemu in compiler ./configure --enable-sdl
as for Qemu 0.15.50 on Linux. Has there to change something when you compile it for XP?
I really wonder, because no qemu 0.15.50 for windows, that is on the market now, can start any ARM processor, no arm926 and no arm1176. But the version 0.15.00 for Qemu on windows starts arm926 (only this one),
nice to hear from you
Dietmar

PS: May I use for XP --enable-adlib instead of --enable-sdl in Linux?

Not sure, I've only compiled 0.15.0 on windows then decided windows is awful for this sort of thing and switched.

Hi Shift,
after compiling it under Windows I agree with you to 100 % :-).
May be it can be done under Linux, using crosscompile switch in
./configure --enable-mingw32
my problem is, that I have zero experiance with this,
but who knows,
Dietmar
