Daily weather forecast on RaspPi internet printer

Sun May 26, 2013 11:26 am

With the help of andrewn I got my GoFreeRange little internet printer working with a RaspberryPi, rather than an Arduino.

I've managed to combine this with JD Harper's work on printing DropBox files and Andrea Fabrizi's shell script that allows you upload and download DropBox files on a RaspberryPi, so that my RaspberryPi not only polls the GFR print server for new stuff to print, it also periodically checks my DropBox for a new weather forecast, and if it finds one, it sends it to the backend print server.

The result is, I get a weather forecast delivered to my printer each morning at 6AM, and it's all run off a self-contained RaspberryPi-powered GFR printer. Here's how I did it: http://www.suppertime.co.uk/blogmywiki/ ... /raspi-wx/ - I hope someone finds this useful.
